Have you updated your retirement beneficiary latel

Even if you have filled out a physical retirement beneficiary document and submitted it for processing, it is important that you also update the beneficiary information online using this process:

1. Log in to http://www.oaretirement.com 
2. Select My Profile at the top of the screen
3. Scroll down the page to Beneficiary Information and select Add
4. Follow the Prompts to Add Beneficiary
5. Enter and submit your beneficiary information

Why is it important that you frequently verify or update your designated beneficiary or beneficiaries?

Upon your death, your retirement account vested balance will be transferred to the person you designate. If no beneficiary designation exists, or if your beneficiary is no longer alive, the death benefit will be paid in the order of: your spouse, child, or your estate (whichever is applicable).

It is a good habit to update your beneficiary annually in case of life events such as marriage, birth/adoption, divorce, or the death of a loved one.
