New email security services begin August 28

On Monday, August 28, IT is updating some email security measures. YKHC will move away from Sophos and INKY for email security and begin using Proofpoint. You will see changes in the banners applied to messages in your inbox. The new banners will look like this:

Another important change is when you send an encrypted message, the recipient will receive instructions to register at https://securemail.ykhc.org to pick up the encrypted message. The recipients should find the new encrypted messages easier to access. You can force a message’s encryption by adding (encrypt) to the subject line.

Outlook will also have a new Report Phish button to report suspicious email messages. Other than that, you should see only a few noticeable changes. For the most part, mail should flow faster with fewer delayed deliveries and increased security.
