YKHC offers scholarships and apprenticeships to students interested in health careers. If you or someone you know is interested pursuing a career in healthcare, please share this information about YKHC’s programs.

Who should apply?

  • Members and descendants of tribes served by YKHC
  • Employees of YKHC who are in good standing (mandatory for apprenticeship program) 
  • All Alaska residents

YKHC Scholarships: Priority given to individuals pursuing a career in healthcare and are enrolled in an accredited program.  Preference will be given to full-time or part-time students who have completed all prerequisites for their selected program. To learn more, visit https://www.ykhc.org/work/education/.

Scholarship Deadline: Nov. 1, 2022

The priority for scholarship funding will be in line with P.L. 93-638, the Indian Education and Self-Determination Act. Scholarship candidates will be selected based on the YKHC scholarship applicant scoring sheet.  Part-time students qualify for half the award amounts.

Apprenticeship Deadline: September 1, 2022

All YKHC apprentice applicants will be selected by APCA – our partner and program sponsor.
