The Angyaq Quality System continues to expand as more are trained in using the improvement tools and methods of standardization.

 In 2023, YKHC continues its contract with Virginia Mason Institute. This year, we are excited to host the first Lean for Leaders training for frontline and mid-level leaders across the organization. We also have two Rapid Process Improvement Workshops scheduled in June, focusing on the Emergency Department and Well-Child Exams. In April, leadership joined Virginia Mason in Seattle, WA, to see their production system and use of Lean methodology first-hand. Later this year, we will see more improvement events and training opportunities.

An integral part of the Angyaq Quality System is the sharing of experiences. YKHC’s first quarterly improvement-sharing event Aspiaq is scheduled for 1 p.m., May 11, 2023 in the Blueberry Conference room and YOU are invited to attend! Aspiaq is an opportunity to learn about improvement work and the Angyaq Quality System. By sharing experiences in problem-solving and change implementation, YKHC is building a culture of continuous improvement and high reliability.  Anyone interested in learning about what improvement efforts others are working on are welcome to join.
