Christina Laraux joins YKHC as the new Assistant Director of Safety and Security. Christina was born and raised in Long Beach, California; however Bethel has been her home for the past nine years. Christina graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from the University of California Irvine. During her undergrad years, Christina was a student intern for the U.S. FDA, which inspired her passion for Public Health. She previously worked for the State of Alaska for a number of years, with the last three years serving as the Administrative Supervisor for Public Health Nursing.

In her spare time, Christina enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures, going on outdoor adventures with her husband, cooking, boating, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is enthusiastic about joining the team and looks forward to serving the community in her new role.
