Employee random drug testing scheduled October 24-28

YKHC adopted and implemented a random drug testing policy for employees in 2021 as a complement to YKHC’s existing pre-employment and reasonable suspicion/accident drug and alcohol testing programs, and to align YKHC with industry standard and best practices for healthcare organizations. Under this policy, one percent of all YKHC employees are randomly selected and tested for unauthorized drugs/controlled substances every quarter (approximately every three months). Please take note the random testing for this quarter will occur October 24-28.

While the selection process is random, the timing of testing is not. This is to help employees know what to expect. As the deadline approaches, the Human Resources Department will work with a third party vendor who will use a scientific method to randomly select the employees to be tested. HR will then notify each employee who has been selected and schedule the testing.
