The Health Aide Emergency Fund helped 27 current and former health aides in 2021, awarding over $14,000 in grants. The fund is strong and will continue to assist health aides with their emergency needs for many years to come.

A special thanks goes to President and CEO Dan Winkelman and YKHC for their contribution of $5,000 to the Fund earlier this year. Friends of Community Health Aides have played a major role in supporting the Emergency Fund since the fund’s inception in 2019.

Health Aides can apply for Emergency Funds online by going to the Bethel Community Services Foundation web site at BCSFoundation.org (go to the “Grant Applications” tab and then select “Community Health Aide Emergency Fund Grant”). Donations can also be sent to the BCS foundation, but be sure to earmark the donation toward the “CHA Emergency Fund.”
