Practicing YKHC’s mission with kindness

As Covid-19 continues to change our world in so many ways and we work through the challenges it presents, it’s important to acknowledge our struggles and the importance of caring for ourselves and each other.   Stressful situations continue to be more abundant then we’re used to and we may respond to that stress unpleasantly, especially when things are not going as expected or as we would like.  But as we are encouraged to find healthy ways to take care and be kind to ourselves, it’s also important to be aware of how we are responding to situations and people and to maintain professionalism and courtesy, even when we don’t get the results we hoped for.  In each situation consider all sides, show empathy and kindness, seek clarity, and assume positive intentions.

While we expect professionalism when working with others, it’s also expected that employees use the tools and processes at YKHC (such as Quantros or the Great Ideas Input on the Intranet) to report situations that need to be further considered or evaluated.  Also, remember the Quyana Award is available on the Intranet to celebrate and share positive experiences with colleagues, especially when we know someone is working especially hard or has gone above and beyond.

Please consider that we are here doing our best and we should all continue to do what we can to work together to provide excellent health!
