Born and raised in the Pacific Islands, Naomi has lived in Hawaii for most of her life. She loves living and working among diverse cultures and communities and has a keen interest in learning new languages. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at BYU-Hawaii and an MBA at Hawaii Pacific University. Her career in education along with her extensive volunteer experiences have focused predominantly on serving and helping native populations.

Naomi began exploring Alaska in 2020 where she served as the HR Director for the North Slope Borough School District and volunteered at the Native Village of Barrow in America’s northernmost city of Utqiagvik. Naomi is immensely appreciative of and excited about this new adventure in Bethel and with YKHC as its AHEC Director.
