On-going QPR training

Every Thursday and Friday, behavioral health offers QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) training.  This suicide prevention training is a brief educational program designed to teach to recognize and refer someone at risk of suicide, the warning signs of a suicide, and how to respond by following three steps:

  • Question the individual’s desire or intent regarding suicide.
  • Persuade the person to seek and accept help.
  • Refer the person to appropriate resources.

The two-hour training is delivered by certified YKHC instructors and the session will be conducted on Zoom from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We will be rolling out an in-person training schedule soon.

Registration is required through HealthStream. Log on to HealthStream, navigate to your to-do list and find the QPR training. You will be able to register for specific dates from there. We look forward to seeing you in class.

If you have any questions, you can contact Richard Robb at 543-6335.
