YKHC now has a fax server which will allow us to send/receive fax via email. FaxCore will substantially reduce paper and time by eliminating the need to print a file to physically fax it, or to scan-email a fax that has been physically received. It’s also much more secure than a fax physically sitting on a printer, without any notification, for anyone to pick up.
For sending faxes, here are your existing and new options:
1. Traditional: Send a fax from the printer.
2. Email a document to [faxnumber]@fax.ykhc.org
a. Long distance (e.g.19075436570@fax.ykhc.org)
b. Locally (e.g. 5436570@fax.ykhc.org)
3. Login to FaxCore (http://as-faxcore.ykhc.org/) using your network credentials
From the FaxCore server you can view your history or check the status: sending, completed, failed, printed, saved, etc.
For receiving faxes, the new process will use a new email inbox to be shared by departments/members. Individual departments will be notified via email with more details in the following weeks as their accounts are set up.
