To all the staff serving our community in the Inpatient Services Department:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for staying the course through these trying times. To all of those who worked diligently to transform the Infusion center into an ICU. The family lounge to a patient overflow area if the need arises. These two tasks alone could not have been accomplished so quickly without the seamless coordinated team efforts of the staff from various departments. Thank you.

I would like to thank those of you who volunteered to serve our clients in the ICU, even after the challenges of this daunting task was laid out for your understanding. I would like to say thank you to those who have remained at their posts serving as true professionals during an approaching crisis such as the one we have been facing.

As you know we have recently been enduring a period of low census causing an expected trepidation among staff relating to job security. I am proud to say I have witnessed true team spirit and selflessness among those I serve with in the Inpatient Services Department. When asking for volunteers to take low census to avoid forcing a rotation among the staff, several of you selflessly stepped up so others who could not afford it wouldn’t have to. I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you in your demonstration of true comradery and teamwork during such trying times. 

We as your managers appreciate all you have been going through for each other the hospital and the community we serve and ask you to please continue to stay the course. We can and will get through this together with the teamwork you all have already demonstrated.
