Always use a cover sheet when sending faxes out. It provides protection for the information inside of the fax if it goes to the wrong place. If your department receives a fax in error do not shred it, instead, contact the Privacy Officer Eddie Corp at extension 6694 and let him know you received it to prevent any HIPAA breaches from occurring.
