At most, a user should be spending no more than 10 minutes a week logging in to their virtual desktop.

This document lists best practices, regardless of where you work – in a clinical setting or in administration(CHSB), to streamline access to a new virtual desktop or re-establish access to a locked desktop.

If the recommended practices are followed, then:

1.       A new virtual desktop can be accessed from the Imprivata login screen in less than a minute.

2.       Users can access locked virtual desktops in about five seconds.

3.       Users can roam from workstation to workstation and access their virtual desktop within five seconds.
