To ensure the safety and security of our patients, we require two forms of identification for remote access to YKHC virtual desktops. 

So, whenever you work remotely, please access our virtual desktops through https://remote.ykhc.org, our new remote access address. You will need your username and password as one form of authentication and Imprivata ID on your phone as a second form of authentication.  However, when using a device within a YKHC facility, you should continue using https://horizon.ykhc.org as usual. 

This two-factor authentication, also known as MFA or multi-factor authentication, is necessary because relying solely on passwords is unsafe. 

Please let your staff and anyone working remotely know about this change.
