Case Manager Assistants: The backbone of case management

Case Management is a critical function in healthcare that helps our patients navigate complex healthcare systems and achieve their goals. While Case Managers play a crucial role in the process, Case Manager Assistants are the backbone of Case Management.

The Case Management department has four full time Case Management Assistants; they are the backbone of the department. Our Case Manager Assistants (CMAs) are vital to the success of our department. Melody Hoffman, Randy Evan, Kathy Amik, and Christiane Chayalkun are our four amazing CMAs. Melody Hoffman, the most experienced CMA in the department, has onboarded and trained the rest of the CMA team.

Case Manager Assistants are responsible for many of the administrative and logistical tasks that keep the case management process running smoothly. They help gather client information, schedule appointments, coordinate services, and communicate with clients and other stakeholders. Without the support of case manager assistants, case managers would be overwhelmed with paperwork and administrative duties, leaving them little time to focus on direct client care. Case manager assistants are often the first point of contact for clients, and their compassion and professionalism can make a significant difference in the client’s experience. In short, case manager assistants are essential to the success of the case management process, and they play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals.

There are two vacant positions for Case Manager Assistants. If you’re interested in applying, the jobs are posted on YKHC’s website. For additional information, please dial 543-6278 and ask to speak with Dawn Hackney.
