The SRCs would like to congratulate Patrice Carl at the Toksook Bay SRC for her recent promotion to Certified Health Practitioner.

Patrice began her work with YKHC in 2017 as a health aide in Chefornak and then relocated to Newtok. She eventually became a float health aide with the CHAP program based in Bethel and in 2022 transferred to the Toksook Bay SRC. 

When asked why she became a health aide Patrice explains that at a young age she was anemic and always getting her blood drawn. Her frequent visits inspired her to get into the healthcare field. She loves helping people and plans on working for 10 or more years just like she sees other CHP’s at YKHC making this their career. 

We are excited and very fortunate to have Patrice on our SRC team. Please join us in congratulating Patrice on her accomplishment of achieving CHP status!
