SHARP is extending the application deadline to 5 p.m., July 15, 2022. and is expecting a large influx of HRSA funds to the program. This is exciting news as it will allow SHARP to increase the number of providers accepted into the loan repayment program.
The extension application deadline to be considered for the upcoming cycle is a mere 15 days away – Friday, July 15, 2022 at 5 p.m. AKT.
Important Note: It is imperative that both new and current SHARP participants whose contracts are expiring at the end of this year apply by the deadline to be considered for admittance or continuance in the SHARP program.
YKHC only participates in the SHARP-1 “regular cycle” which means that decisions to be considered for the SHARP loan repayment program are done only once a year.
If you would like to be included in the upcoming applicant pool for this year’s SHARP-1 “regular cycle” solicitation, your application must be received by Friday, July 15, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. (AKT).
Current SHARP participants whose contracts are expiring this year will also need to apply by the deadline.
The SHARP 1 regular application cycle for this year is as follows:
- SHARP admissions committee will convene to review the received applications in late July.
- The expected contract start-date for providers who are admitted into the program will be Sept 1, 2022, or thereafter.
- The SHARP-1 contract is a two-year (24-month) service commitment.
