Reminder: Mandatory use of WellScreen when entering YKHC facilities where they are available

All employees entering the YK Delta Regional Hospital in Bethel are required to use the WellScreen system to screen for signs of illness prior to the start of their work day or every 12 hours. At this time, the screening requirement applies only at the hospital, although we anticipate rolling out across all YKHC facilities in the future.

The screening can be completed either on the screening machine near hospital entrances or through the WellScreen app, which can be downloaded to your phone. The app can be downloaded on Google Play or the App Store by searching “Readiness rounds – Well Screen” and following directions to sign in.

To complete the screening, follow the prompts on the screen. Please allow sufficient time to complete screening and arrive at work on time for your scheduled start time.

Employees who have any symptoms or are flagged for additional screening must immediately contact their manager, coordinate to get a COVID-19 test and follow the Procedure on Temporary COVID-19 PTO Policy, which can be found on Policy Manager. (https://ykhc.ellucid.com/documents/view/36712) Employees flagged for additional screening should not proceed to work. They may enter the building only if needed to get a COVID test

To learn more and review full directions, employees are strongly encouraged to read the full Employee Wellness Screening Standard Work on Policy Manager. (https://ykhc.ellucid.com/documents/view/35095)

All managers should make sure they are aware of their responsibilities if one of their employees is flagged for additional screening. For more information, speak with your manager and review the Wellness Screening Report Access Standard Work on Policy Manager. (https://ykhc.ellucid.com/documents/view/38846)

Non-YKHC employees entering the hospital will have to complete the screening on the WellScreen terminals. (See more details on Policy Manager. (https://ykhc.ellucid.com/documents/view/38841) If you are an employee coming to a YKHC facility for a non-work-related reason, you will need to screen as a patient or escort.

We appreciate your cooperation as we roll out this new system, which will follow best practices related to disease mitigation and allow us to remain in compliance with YKHC’s Visitation Restrictions Related to COVID-19 policy. (https://ykhc.ellucid.com/documents/view/35110) Further updates will be made to these policies as needed. Note that at this time facilities, including the cafeteria, are not open for general use or visitation. This restriction will be monitored and updated as needed by the Hospital Incident Command team.
