A message from Privacy & Compliance

Recently, we have had community members contacting our office reporting that YKHC staff were discussing operations and work in public areas such as planes, airports, and restaurants.

Patient information is protected by HIPAA and violations of that law means penalties, both to our corporation and to staff involved.

More importantly, we want our patients to know that we value their privacy at all times- and discussing work loudly in public areas doesn’t exactly instill that perception.

Please remember to discuss your work as healthcare professionals in appropriate places, not in public areas where people can (and do!) hear you. Quyana.
