Avas Olick works as a Behavioral Health Aide in Kwethluk and has been in the position for around five years. Prior to this, Avas worked as a Community Health Aide for 20 years. She made the switch so she could do the part of her job she liked most as a health aide—listening to people talk about their feelings, and feeling better talking about them.

Avas has recently moved up to Behavioral Health Aide II (BHA II). The Behavioral Health Department would like to acknowledge Avas Olick for her recent certification! Avas is the first BHA at YKHC to reach level II certification in many years.  Congratulations Avas!
