Introducing TigerTouch

TigerTouch is an extension of the TigerConnect functionality that allows providers the ability to securely text patients and provide telehealth visits. IT-RAVEN is in the process of a slow rollout of TigerTouch starting with the MAT program. If you’re a provider or case manager who needs to communicate with patients via text you can request access ahead of the official rollout if you are willing to provide feedback on the functionality. Similar to the way TigerConnect works, TigerTouch messages will have a fixed message lifespan and message status (e.g. sent, delivered, read receipt). Patients are not required to download TigerConnect. They can use their existing mobile phone texting functionality, and will have the opportunity to send a “STOP” text to opt out of the TigerTouch communications if they choose to do so.

As we continue with the project build there will be updates to the Registration workflow to ensure we capture patients’ written permission to text them. Part of the Registration workflow modifications include: adding a new “permission to text” field in selected conversations and standardizing all phone fields across and within the conversations.
