Introducing Hospitality Services

During the expansion of PJCP there became a need for certain services that were incorporated into the jobs of different positions in all departments.   This need mostly developed from the sheer physical size and distance of separation between the departments that perform direct patient care from the departments that provide diagnostic support.   This new department is a fusion of those services and other services which include specimen transport, patient transport,  patients needing direct observation, and as a greeter;  who also escorts them to their service location and provides direction.

The department will be fully staffed and on its ever evolving course beginning early February.  Once all positions are staffed, they will begin crosstraining for better coverage In times of short staffing and also have the opportunity to train in other departments of interest.   They have already begun training in some of Diagnostic Services departments and will grow into other departments later as things settle down and normalize.  In this way, people from our region have the opportunity to see if their professional goals in health care are really something they are interested in following through with in education and training, or if there is some other scope of service that really ignites them to go further and make it their profession.  Please be patient (as most already have) in getting this department fully functional and amending coverage to meet needs as we go on this journey.

Also, please be aware that this department is not part of the clinical laboratory.  They are housed down the hallway from the lab and are of their own entity.  Please note that their phone number which was x451351 is now 6546.   One can now make external call to the department and leave a voicemail if need be.

Please welcome Agnes Changsak, Sinea Williams, Sarah Nichols, Sandra Allen, Isabel David,  and Katlyn Lewis.

If you have any questions or comments please reach out to them at 6546, or call Scott Cox at 6302.
