The Infection Prevention and Control Department will be reviving and launching a Hand Hygiene program so each one of us can be working together to achieve excellent health for our patients, families, communities, and each other. This is one of the easiest ways to protect ourselves and our patients from infections.

Managers have been selected as Hand Hygiene Champions and will receive Hand Hygiene Observer Training; a training packet will be sent out next week.  Managers, upon passing, will be able to train a Secret Shopper to assist them in their monthly Hand Hygiene observations. Observations will be submitted and tracked through an electronic link, making it easier for access, data entry, and results analysis.
