Now Available: Critical Illness Insurance

YKHC is now offering critical illness insurance for the first time. Eligible employees include those who are regular/full-time with benefits and regular/part-time with benefits. Eligible employees who are already employed by YKHC, can sign-up for this coverage during Open Enrollment (11/11 to 12/9). New hires can sign-up during New Employee Orientation. Coverage will begin January 1, 2020.

Staff can elect to choose three different coverage amounts ($10,000, $20,000 or $30,000) and a spouse or domestic partner can also receive coverage at the same rate. Premiums are deducted after taxes and an employee can elect to stop coverage at any time.

Employees can also cover a child (at $10,000) up to age 26. In addition, there is a Be Well Benefit of $50, paid to participating employees and their partners each year of their enrollment.
