Setting An Alternate Approver in PeopleSoft While You Are Away

If you have forgotten to set your PeopleSoft Alternate Approver before travelling, you can do so from any Internet Connection.  This will assure that YKHC purchases and invoices can be approved timely to avoid additional cost or lost opportunity.

You can connect to your Virtual Desktop here at YKHC following the instruction in this Knowledge Article: Link to Knowledge Article in HEAT. Once you have connected to your desktop, follow these instructions.

  • Open up Internet Explorer and Navigate to the PeopleSoft link on the Intranet Webpage OR within your favorites
  • Log into PeopleSoft and click on the NavBar (compass) button in the upper right corner
  • Click on the Navigator button to expand your options then page down to select My System Profile
  • In the Alternate User section of this page, search the first field for the Manager’s User ID. Remember this will always be lowercase (you can also use the Magnifying Glass to search)
  • Enter the From Date and To Date for the range of time you want an Alternate
  • Click Save at the bottom of the page
