Welcome session I health aides!

The Community Health Aide Program is excited to introduce our newly trained session I health aides, who have joined our health aide family! These dedicated individuals are in Bethel for the rest of March and into April to complete their CHAP training. They will be finishing their clinical training by observing the emergency department workflows and shadowing pediatricians in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

When you see them, please take a moment to introduce yourselves and extend a warm welcome to these valuable individuals. We believe in fostering an environment of learning and growth, and their presence here is a testament to our commitment to Napartet Strategies: Strengthening Village Health Programs and Improving Patient Experience.

Community health aides play a vital role in care delivery in remote Alaska. If you participate in radio medical treatment (RMT) or care delivery for the villages, this is a perfect opportunity for you to meet the wonderful health aides you will be working with. They are here to learn, observe, and contribute to our collective goal of providing the best care possible to the people of the YK Delta.

We encourage all of you to support and mentor them throughout their stay. Sharing your knowledge and experiences can have a significant impact on their learning and development and experience as professional healthcare providers for the villages.

Let’s extend a warm welcome to our Session I Health Aides as they embark on their exciting journey. We look forward to the valuable contributions they will make out in the field.
