Health Aide Emergency Fund celebrates milestone

The Community Health Aide Emergency Fund is thrilled to announce the five-year anniversary celebration, a vital resource dedicated to supporting current or former health aides in the YK Delta region facing a personal or family emergency. Managed by the Bethel Community Services Foundation (BCSF), the fund is available to current or former health aides who have worked in the YK Delta region for a minimum of two years. The fund provides financial support to current and former health aides during their time of need.

Last week marked the fifth anniversary of this impactful initiative. To celebrate this occasion, coordinators, committee members, administration and staff at the BCSF came together to commemorate the program’s success. The celebration included a luncheon where fund panel members were honored with certificates of appreciation for their dedicated service for five years to this unique program.

Since its inception, the Community Health Aide Emergency Fund has provided essential financial support to over 180 applicants, including 140 current or former health aides, totaling an impressive sum of over $95,000. This remarkable milestone underscores the profound impact and unwavering commitment of our heroes in their time of need.
