Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3, the YKHC Outpatient Department sponsored and organized a splinting and casting workshop to help develop those skills among YKHC medical and nursing staff from various departments.
An instructor from the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals led this hands-on clinic that was attended by over 30 YKHC medical and nursing staff comprised of 16 Outpatient providers, five Outpatient nurses, 10 providers from Village Services (itinerants and SRC providers) and one provider from the Emergency Department.
It was an educational and fun workshop, and those who attended gained more knowledge and confidence in their splinting and casting skills. Thanks to all who participated!
