Last month GCI developed a tunnel direct to YKHC for VMWare. (See Napartet News article). Now Vidyo has been added to the tunnel. These are both firsts for GCI and what it means is any Bethel resident — employee, patient, consultant, recruit, guest — can securely VTC directly with YKHC staff without going through Anchorage. Therefore the call quality, audio, and speeds are better. This is only possible with Vidyo as YKHC hosts our own servers. Other platforms are cloud-based and require a connection through Anchorage and beyond. Click on the links below for more information.
