In this week’s Safety Session: Safe Driving!
Following these defensive driving tips can help reduce your risk behind the wheel:
- Think safety first!
- Be aware of your surroundings — pay attention!
- Do not depend on other drivers.
- Follow the three to four second rule. Allow four seconds between the vehicle in front of you and the vehicle you are driving.
- Keep your speed down. SLOW DOWN! Especially driving in our parking lots, we have people walking and cars backing up.
This would include the Hospital, CHSB, Housing Units, and Behavioral Health Buildings!
- Separate risks. Keep your phone in your pocket!
- Cut out distractions. Do not text and drive!
