Currently our HR team is reviewing the content of the evaluations to ensure they contain the proper information. Listed below are some quick guidelines that can help assist in completing the process:
- Comments must be clear and concise without referencing FMLA when evaluating performance.
- If you give the employee a performance rating of 3 no comments are required.
- If you give the employee a performance rating of 1, 2, 4, or 5 comments are mandatory and you can’t say “in file.”
- Managers must provide 3 written Employee Goals, as it is a Joint Commission requirement and you can use examples from the job description. Goal example: Reduce TDY resources by 10%.
- If you are missing any of this information, your review will be rejected and sent back with notes in the comments section noting one of the discrepancies above.
