YKHC was presented with an Outstanding Partner Award by Don Young Alaska Job Corp Center in Palmer, Alaska on Thursday, June 13.  The luncheon event was held to celebrate the Center’s 30 year anniversary and acknowledged people and organizations who have supported the Job Corps mission to ‘”help young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through vocational and academic training aimed at gainful employment and career pathways.”

The sentiments on the outstanding partner award:

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) is honored for its exceptional service to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta community. As a non-profit Tribal Organization, YKHC is the principal healthcare provider in the region, offering community clinics for accessible healthcare, a regional hospital with the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval, and dental and behavioral health services.

YKHC ‘s dedication to quality care and community well-being is commendable. By providing supportive services and employment to our students in their communities, YKHC allows young Alaskans to thrive. We proudly present this award for their significant impact on our students.”

YKHC was represented by one of our HR team members, Zhena McCarthy, who accepted the award in our behalf.
