Safety Message: Reporting work injuries

What do I do if I get injured at work?

  • If you have a life-threatening injury, seek emergency help; call 911.
  • For all other injuries/exposures, the immediate next step is to report your injury to your supervisor.
  • You and your supervisor/ manager should call Medcor together immediately at 800-553-8041 when the injury occurs.
    • What is Medcor?
      • A free service provided by our Workers Comp insurer, Alaska National Insurance Co. (ANIC)
      • A 24/7 triage line staffed by RNs
      • Provides Workers Compensation Injury Help
  • If your supervisor is not available, you must still call Medcor to report your injury.

Medcor will initiate a 6101, the required Report of Injury Form and submit it to the Alaska National Insurance Company.
