Academic and community partners filled the Blueberry conference room during our Spring Career Fair on Thursday, April 11, 2024, as people came together to join forces with us and showcase the many programs, services, and job openings on offer to our valued residents.

A welcome addition to this year’s fair was the participation of LKSD student groups who joined close to 150 fair attendees, most of whom were Alaska Natives. The pace was comfortable throughout the day providing a platform for people to chat, connect, and share stories one with another. The blend of YKHC departments and academic and community partners along with prospective hires and curious minds added vibrance to the event.

Much gratitude to Tobacco Control & Cessation, Environmental Services (EVS), Food Services & Dietary, Dental, Outpatient, Behavioral Health, Revenue Management, Diabetes, AHEC, and HR for participating in the fair and promoting their respective departments and highlighting job vacancies.

Our academic and community partners were a perfect complement with representation from Association of Village Council Presidents (AVCP) Human Resources and Tribal Workforce Developments, AVCP Regional Housing Authority (AVCP- RHA), YK-Fitness Center, City of Bethel (Fire and Police Departments, Yuut Elinaurviat, Alaska Pacific University (APU), UAF Kuskokwim Campus, Lower Kuskokwim School District (LKSD), and the State of Alaska Delta Job Center.

The HR team extends their deep gratitude to the various departments and our academic and community partners who supported the fair in big and small ways.
