Healthcare Human Resources Week is celebrated throughout the nation from March 11 to March 15. The week presents opportunities to recognize and acknowledge the pivotal role of human resources professionals in healthcare organizations across America.  This week we honor YKHC’s dedicated and committed team of HR professionals.

Our HR team serves over 1500 employees, contractors, students, residents, fellows, and community members on a daily basis. (This does not include prospective hires from throughout the region and nation who are seeking employment in our healthcare facilities.) HR provides myriad services to former, current, and future employees every day.

In 2023, our HR team, which manages the scholarship program, provided $135,000 to students pursuing healthcare related degrees and helped to onboard 600 new employees in their weekly orientations!

The Tribal Gathering event provided both remote and onsite HR team members time to gather together and share stories, successes, challenges, and ways to better serve both internal and external customers.
