Pharmacists are providers who help patients with various healthcare needs. American Pharmacists Month is a time to recognize pharmacists’ contributions to healthcare and all they do for the community. Pharmacists play an important role in the healthcare needs of those in the YK Delta. Some of the services our pharmacists provide, include: pain management, medication reviews to assess safety, effectiveness, interactions, and adherence; care management and counseling for disease states such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, and high cholesterol.

National Pharmacy week, October 20-26, is also a time to recognize the vital contributions all pharmacy employees (pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, student pharmacists, billing technicians, and operators) make every day to patient care.
